Our History & Our Story

The Aarti Singal Foundation, an NGO, was founded in 1984 by Mrs. Aarti Singal when she collaborated with Mother Teresa and the Sisters of Charity to help uplift the lives of several under-served communities.

Mrs. Aarti Singal conceptualised and fashioned several hand-made artisanal handicrafts. She then promoted them in lifestyle exhibitions around the country to raise funds and awareness about the foundation's mission.

Mrs. Singal further scaled the idea by holding training sessions for rural artists. This helped them hone their skills and garner knowledge required to set-up their own workshops in association with ASF. Thus, empowering them to make the quantum leap from employee to entrepreneur.

Us Today

In order to adapt to recent times, we have rebranded into two identities - The Aarti Singal Foundation and The ASF Shop. With the framework of the foundation we carry out all our charity work and with The ASF Shop we raise money by selling artisanal products directly to end users.

Apart from indirectly employing rural and local artisans, the funds raised from the sale of these products by The ASF Shop are used for a variety of social, nutritional and charitable causes.

By supporting The ASF Shop, you will directly be supporting India's rural community and contributing towards the upliftment of local handicraftsmen and the underprivileged.

Mission: To amalgamate ancient crafts with contemporary aesthetics while taking care of the craftsmen who continue to make this possible.
